Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful

Well, it will be a white christmas for us this year. As you know from my previous post, I am from Honduras and my husband Bolivia, and one of our "prenup" agreements was that we would spend one christmas with my family and the following with his. This makes it fair for all. This Christmas is his Christmas, and we are spending it in Chicago. It is currently -1 degree. I have been grinchy this past week, I really miss Christmas at home with my family, but a part of me is secretly excited to spend it as a family, us 4 at our house. I have so many plans with the kids, I have decked my tree, as you see. Sent my xmas ecard, etc. Helped Santa pick out their gifts and wrapped them.

And so I am learning, learning to grow as a person, learning to become a parent, learning teach my kids what family, and our faith is about. Christmas is a symbol of rebirth, rebirth in our hearts...
